Whoever expressed the sentiment of those words could very well have been speaking of Calvary East Valley; a fellowship of imperfect followers of Christ who don’t have it all together and who have not figured it all out, but who are convinced that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6) Whether a long time follower, a brand new believer, or someone who just wants to learn more about the Christian faith, we invite you to join us for what we pray will be a life changing journey to the glory of God!
Love lies at the heart of all that we are here at Calvary East Valley; a growing knowledge and appreciation of the unconditional love God has for us in Jesus, coupled with a heartfelt desire to share that love with one another. As the Scriptures declare, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.” (1 John 3:16)
While love lies at the heart of all that we are here at Calvary East Valley, training up followers of Jesus who can share that love with a lost and dying world around us lies at the heart of our mission. That love is encapsulated for us in the good news of the gospel message, “That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that by believing you may have life in His Name.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, John 20:31)
Here at Calvary East Valley we measure success not by the size of a budget or a building, but the life change that comes through the gospel message. Whether a lost sinner who comes to saving faith in Jesus Christ or a wayward follower who comes back to Jesus Christ, we believe the gospel is “the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.” (Romans 1:16)
